CABBAGE SLAW IN CASSEROLE
This is excellent as part of a vegetarian meal or with roasted meat.
1 onion, chopped
2 T. butter
2 t. flour
2 t. curry powder
1 c. water
1 bouillon cube
1 clove garlic, minced
1 c. yogurt or sour cream
Ground black pepper
1/4 t. ground cloves
4 c. shredded cabbage
1. Saute the onion in butter. Mix in flour and curry powder. Add water
with the bouillon cube dissolved in it, garlic and yogurt or sour cream.
2. Simmer until it thickens. Add remaining spices; simmer about 5 minutes.
3. Place cabbage in a buttered casserole dish and pour sauce over it.
Mix well and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
