WOWCHOS
This was the Second Place Winner in the Annual Garlic Festival held
in Gilroy, California in the summer of '83.
2 large heads garlic, separated into cloves and
peeled
2 T. oil
Tortilla Chips *
1/4 c. chopped red onion
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chiles
1/3 c. sliced pimiento stuffed olives, optional
1-1/2 c. shredded jalapeno Jack cheese
Chopped cilantro
Chopped green onion tops
1. Coat garlic cloves with oil and bake at 375 degrees 30 minutes or until
soft or golden
2. Cover 13 x 9-inch metal baking pan with tortilla chips. Distribute
garlic, onion, chiles and olives evenly over chips. Cover with cheese
and bake at 400 degrees 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
3. Top with cilantro and green onions and serve.
* We made our own according to my daughter Jaclyn's recipe for Oven
Fried Tortilla Chips
